Food Pantry Project

The Food Pantry Project has been a successful part of Health Brigade’s programs and services for more than 10 years. The goal of this project is to ensure that all patients and clients of Health Brigade in need of nutritional support receive access to the Food Pantry services.

Some food is obtained from the Central Virginia Food Bank, area supermarkets and through donations from numerous community partners.  Food is distributed on an as-needed and emergency basis determined by eligibility criteria.

If you or your company are interested in holding a food drive please see the list below for the food most needed.  These foods best meet the health needs of our patients and clients and are easy to transport, store and prepare.
