Richmond History Maker

On January 26, the First Lady of Virginia, Pamela Northam announced that Health Brigade was chosen to receive the Richmond History Makers Award for Promoting Community Health. This award is presented to the organization that addresses pressing community health issues, from trauma-informed services or primary care to housing and food, all in an effort to increase access and equity across racial and income barriers.

Health Brigade was recognized for its immediate response to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as for its history of staying at the forefront of caring for those least served in the Richmond community.
