Director of Social Work & Care Support Services
As Director of Social Work & Care Support Services, Jenee Johnson leads the ongoing development of a comprehensive vision for social work practice, which encompasses clinical social work, community health work, case management, student education, and medical social work. Jenee’s journey with Health Brigade began in 2013 as a student intern. After gaining extensive experience in healthcare environments through assisting individuals and groups with chronic medical issues and mental health challenges, including emergency medicine, inpatient hospitals, outpatient hospice, and private practice, she returned to Health Brigade in 2021.
Jenee is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board-Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work. She is also a Virginia Board–Approved Clinical Supervisor. Jenee earned her B.A. in Sociology with minors in Child and Family Studies and International Relations, and her M.S.W. from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her professional passions include holistic, community-centered approaches to care. Outside of work, Jenee enjoys spending time with family, being in nature, and taking her rescue dog swimming.
